Hi there! I’m Rebecca Stone, the creator behind Bold Oven, and I’m absolutely thrilled you’ve found your way here. As someone who believes that food is the best way to bring warmth, joy, and connection to any table, I started this recipe blog with a simple idea: great meals don’t just feed the body—they feed the soul.

I’m passionate about crafting recipes that are bold, approachable, and packed with flavor. Over the past 12 years, I’ve competed in regional cooking competitions (and taken home a few blue ribbons!), been featured in food magazines like “Home Chef Monthly,” collaborated with brands like KitchenAid, and taught community cooking classes. What these experiences have taught me is that there’s always more to learn—and that the heart behind every dish matters more than the perfection of the plate.

Cooking has gifted me unforgettable memories and friendships, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that the best recipes are the ones you share. I can’t wait to share mine with you and, hopefully, inspire a few of your own kitchen adventures.


How It All Started

My love affair with food started in my grandmother’s sunny kitchen, where I’d perch on a stool and watch her knead dough or season a simmering stew. The smell of fresh bread, laughter, and stories woven through each meal—those are the moments that shaped me. It wasn’t long before I was scribbling recipes on notecards and dreaming up my own flavor combinations.

What I adore most about recipes isn’t just the eating—it’s the magic of creating something from scratch, tasting as you go, and tweaking until it’s just right. There’s a joy in experimentation, a pride in a well-cooked meal, and a sense of accomplishment in seeing loved ones gather around your table.

As I grew, so did my collection of recipes, tips, and little kitchen triumphs. Friends started asking for advice, and soon, it hit me: why not share this journey with a wider community? Bold Oven was born from a desire to document not just the “what” and “how” of cooking, but the “why”—the stories, discoveries, and happiness found in every dish.

With over 12 years of hands-on experience in both home kitchens and professional settings, I’ve developed, tested, and refined hundreds of recipes—each one tried, tasted, and tweaked to be as foolproof and delicious as possible.

My background ranges from personal explorations (I’ve traveled to over 15 countries for culinary research!) to formal training, including a certificate from the Culinary Institute of America. I’ve cooked for big family gatherings, cozy weeknights, and high-pressure competitions, so I know what it’s like to want recipes that work—and impress.

At Bold Oven, quality is everything. I obsess over details: I triple-test every recipe, research ingredients, and break down steps so they’re easy to follow, no matter your skill level. Every post comes with step-by-step photos and tips so you can cook with confidence.

I’m also a food photography enthusiast! Every photo on this site is taken by me, with a focus on natural light and real, inviting food—never anything you wouldn’t want to eat yourself.

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll find me hiking local trails, reading new cookbooks, or taking my rescue pup, Milo, to the park. I believe that a life well-lived is one of curiosity, exploration, and always, always good food. I bring that spirit to every recipe I share, and I never stop learning from fellow cooks and readers like you.
